One of the two pilot hub centers of Smartpur is located in Aasoor village in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu. Located on the north east coast of the state, Kancheepuram is home to 3.9 million people, with a sex ratio of 986 females for every 1,000 males against the national average of 929 females. The average literacy rate, too, is above the national average (72.99 per cent) in the district at 75.37 per cent.
